The residence of the Dukes of Medinaceli is one of the examples of 16th-century domestic architecture of Seville.
The main courtyard is from the Renaissance, although it is decorated in Mudejar style (the result of Jewish, Muslim and Christian cultures living side by side). There is a fountain in the centre and two statues of Pallas Pacifera stand in the corners.
Of notable interest are two busts of Roman emperors that, together with the busts of Charles I and Cicerone, are distributed around the lower galleries of the courtyard.
