Torre de la Reina (Queen’s Tower). Seville

This house was the rear-guard settlement of King Ferdinand III, ‘the Saint’, during the Conquest of Seville.

The fortress is of great interest because besides being a royal possession, it is the only rural building from the period in the area around Seville that still stands today.

Due to military needs, the building was built in Renaissance style. It has a dining room with capacity for 700 people, as well as impressive gardens.
